Juniper Shadow is the romance writing alter ego of a former teacher turned professional writer and public speaker. Juniper says that writing under a pen name gives her the liberty to be as spicy as she wants to be in her romance writing, without upsetting the apple cart in her … more demure … areas of storytelling! It also reduces the number of random strangers who either ask her about her sex life, or tell her about theirs!
Juniper enjoys writing about feisty women who make bold choices and shoulder any consequences of their actions. She says it reflects the powerful characters who have influenced her own life choices. She taught English for more than a decade and grew up in an extended family where storytelling was a valued talent. Juniper came to book writing later than many, starting her first novel just after she turned 50, truly believing that you are never too old to follow your passions.
Juniper lives in Scotland and has a grown-up family which now includes the joy of being a (very young) grandparent. She enjoys the company of her beloved dogs and goes on as many adventures as she can, often in her campervan.
